And another year has come to an end! A few more hours and we will have turned another page in the Great Book of Life. I don't know. I find that a little melancholy. Because, in a way, it's as if time has died a little bit. Alright, he is reborn in the form of a new year. But it is this small gap of time, the few micro seconds that separate the new from the old, that are really sad. Because, even if for a small fraction of seconds, the Universe dies... okay, it is reborn soon after... but... what if one day the rebirth doesn't happen?

Life and Death are part of our daily lives. Every moment one life blossoms and every moment another withers. It's part of the Great Living Wheel... two sides of the same coin. After all, everything that is born one day will surely die. There is no escaping this road. What you do during that journey is what counts. At least for the individual. Yes, because for those around you, when your light goes out, you are gradually forgotten, like a light that slowly loses its shine. First, the most distant people will stop remembering that person. Then those not so close. So, finally, those who were hand in hand with the deceased begin to forget about the person. Suddenly, the image that was vivid in their memory gradually fades away... until one fine day they no longer remember who left...

Yes, how much doesn't happen in the course of a year... it's a short space of time... just 365 days and six hours... although, thinking about it like this, the months are even shorter... just 30 days, on average... and the day? It consists of only twenty-four hours... and the time? 60 minutes... minute? 60 seconds... second?.. well, it's better to stop there, otherwise we'll start to believe that a second is an infinite amount of time... but if we consider that everything in life is relative, a second can indeed be an eternity... it just depends on the situation you are living at the moment...

On the other hand... okay, the year has come to an end, as life will one day. But the year was born, again. Sorry... in case, it will be born! And with it, hopes are reborn of being able to achieve those goals that it was not possible to achieve during our journey in that past time, for a thousand reasons. We will have another chance. Whether we'll be able to enjoy it this time or not, only time will tell...

Well, let's hope that Cronos is kind to us, and that we can understand when Kairos approaches us, so that we can grab him and take advantage of that moment to make our dreams come true. After all, Kairós is a slippery god, who doesn't give his acolytes a second chance...

Yes, I know… this conversation is way too depressing. New Year is a time for renewal, for positive energy. After all, you attract to yourself what you project in space and time. Good vibes bring us good things in our lives. If we wish good for our fellow people, surely that good will return in our lives, making us happier and happier. On the other hand, if we wish harm to our brothers…

Our biggest problem is that many times we cannot see anything beyond our own navels, we only see what we think is right... and many times what is right for us, the world is screaming loudly that it is wrong. And that's where Kairós enters the story... in some moments he comes and gives us the opportunity to make changes in our lives. He is the lord of time, just like Cronos… with the difference that, while Cronos controls all space-time, Kairós is responsible for those unique moments that happen in our lives… you know when you get asked, like “Why not? did i do that? If I had done that, would things have worked out?” Well, he gave you the moment. If you could see the opportunity and seize it with all your heart, you may have achieved the expected success. Or not. But at least he took the chance that presented itself in his life. Well, as they say, “luck helps the bold”… many things happen all the time around us. Many things happened in the year that, at this point, has ended. And a lot will happen in the year that begins at this moment. It is up to each one of us to know how to make the best use of it.

Aphrodite will offer us Love, Tiche will certainly give us access to her cornucopia, but we must not forget that Fortune has its whims and it is up to us and only us not to be victims of the inconstancy of luck...

All we can wish for in this New Year that begins is that we have the wisdom to distinguish which path we should follow, and that we are fair to those around us. May God who sees everything, who is the Lord of Heaven and Earth, bless us and allow us to live a happy and, if possible, trouble-free life together with the people we love. And may it give us wisdom to learn to love those we don't get along with, no matter what the reason.
