LIVING IN SOCIETY - Part two
LIVING IN SOCIETY - Part two
I believe that the most difficult phase, of all that we go through during life, is the adolescence phase. Why? Simple... if we're not old enough to play with our dolls... or our cars... we're also not old enough to have a beer at a bar table, for example... well, I particularly hate it beer and other alcoholic beverages... that was just one example that covers the majority. In any case, it is the individual's affirmation phase. That's when the young man challenges everything around him. Until then, his pillars in life were usually his parents. But from that moment on, the search for other values is crucial for his formation. And therein lies the danger...
As much as the parents have given a sustained formation in the pillars of society, the individual can follow a completely different path from that traced by his parents. It's because? Simple... as I said before, the formation of a person's character relies on several factors that go beyond the primary influence of their family group. All the other groups that gravitate around you end up, in some way, influencing your choices. And it is in this process that young people often end up losing their primitive references and following a new path, totally different from the expected one.
We cannot forget that the adolescence phase is the one that will define the path that the person will follow. And that's where the comparisons it will make between the various options in front of it come in. Logically, much of this choice is due to their initial training. However, we must not forget that several factors may make the individual's choices totally different from those concepts originally received. That's because a wide range of choices will open up in front of you, all of them showing some kind of advantage... and we're not talking about a monetary advantage. The individual's self-assertion is not always linked to the monetary concept. This is often a secondary situation... that is, it is not what matters, at first, to the individual. Money is sometimes an obligatory path for the teenager to reach the desired status. And he can do a thousand things to get it, not because that is his aim, but because that is the means of reaching his aim.
Yes, for better or for worse, the young man will choose his path. And he will walk it. And he will follow the precepts of his new tribe, doing what the group determines is right, no matter what it is. It doesn't even matter if his current actions go completely against what your cradle taught you... because that's how your social group requires you to behave...
